ForWhat We Do

"For Good" Photography provides high quality photojournalism to non-profit organizations and non-governmental organization.  Many nonprofits are doing outstanding work in the areas of human rights, environmental causes, and protection of marginalized people.  These organizations are often working on very narrow margins and shoestring budgets that do not allow for in-house photography services.   They often are relegated to using stock photography services to enhance their fund raising and information sharing needs.  These often fall short in telling the human story of the services being provided by the organization.  "For Good" Photography provides a cost effective solution. Organizations can engage our services for a single campaign or to provide photographic documentation of a full range of services provided by the non-profit organization.  We do not add to your ongoing overhead.  You engage our services for exactly what you need.

How We Work

Following initial contact, we sit down with the key decision makers of the organization to gain an understanding of the scope of the project, the background of the organization, the time frame for deliverables, and identification of people who can assist us on site.  We develop a work plan and budget and submit it to the organization for approval and then develop a letter of engagement that memorializes the work plan.  Generally, we retain the copyright of the photography and provide unrestricted license to the organization for the use of the photograph.  We continue to work closely with our contacts in the organization to be sure our photography meets the needs of the organization We can work with the organization's contacts in the field or we are capable of working independently.  Working with contacts to assist us in the field is preferable because it saves us time and the organization money.  We edit our work and submit he finished work product to the organization. We can provide electronic files in high resolution that are suitable for publication.  we provide captions with the photos.  we have the capacity to shoot both still and video work for the organization.

That's it!  The organization now has a library of photographs to meet its fund raising and information sharing needs.  They look like the big organizations, but at a fraction of the cost.

Our Fees

"For Good" Photography provides a cost effective solution for small and medium sized non-profit organizations.  Organizations can engage our services for a single campaign or to provide photographic documentation of a full range of services provided by the non-profit organization.  We do not add to your ongoing overhead.  Yu engage our services for exactly what you need.  We design our services around your needs.  In some cases the organization needs photography services over many days spread out over an extended period of time.  In other cases they need a single event photographed.  At all times we will negotiate our fee and provide a written letter of engagement prior to beginning the project.  Some organizations prefer a fixed fee bid for our services or a monthly retainer so they can control their budget.  Some organizations prefer to engage us on a time and materials basis.  We base our hourly fees on the size and budget of the organization.  Fixed fee projects are billed half on engagement and half on delivery.
